One of Edinson Cavani's relatives has warned that the Uruguayan will not remain at Paris Saint-Germain for a further season if his situation does not change, news which is sure to be music to the ears of his suitors Arsenal and Manchester United.

Cavani has again had to operate in a wide role this term for PSG, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to take centre stage as the side's spearhead in attack.

And Cavani has seen his goal tally suffer as a result, with just eleven goals in 30 games in Ligue 1 under his belt this season.

One of the striker's relatives has now warned that after two seasons of playing out of position, Cavani will not sign up for another campaign which sees him on the flank.

The relative told Le Parisien: "It's not a question of whether Edinson remains for a further season if his sporting situation does not change.

"He has understood the benefit to the team of him playing on the flank and he has done it for two years.

"But that's not to say the situation suits him. He would still like to be in the centre of the attack."

It has been claimed that Cavani has now requested a meeting with PSG's management at the end of the season and will demand a departure from the Parc des Princes if his position does not change.

Cavani cost PSG €64.5m to sign from Napoli in the summer of 2013.
