Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that he can see the improvements that his team have undergone over the course of his stay, though he feels the need to reach an even higher level in the near future.

After last week's draw against rivals AC Milan, the Nerazzurri did well to beat Rudi Garcia's Roma 2-1 this weekend and are now placed ninth in the table with 45 points.

Mancini, who took over from Walter Mazzarri last year, feels that his team have witnessed steady improvements over the course of the last few months, in spite of not winning matches every time.

As far as the set standards for a team of Inter's reputation are concerned, the 50-year-old feels that there is still a long road to travel before they can reach that level.

Mancini also stressed the need to stay focused and continue with the good work as he feels that a single win doesn't change everything.

"We're not quite at the level where we can say we've cracked it but I think the team has improved week by week, even when results weren't going our way", Mancini told his club's official website.

"We are limited in certain areas and we still make mistakes but there's been a clear improvement and we can now say we've become a team. Now we have to keep working in this direction.

"The squad is united and full of good lads and consummate professionals. A win doesn't change anything, even though Roma are a great side. Our target is get back to the top because Inter always have to aim to be up there."

Inter Milan are scheduled to visit the Stadio Friuli next tomorrow to take on 13th placed Udinese in a league match.
