Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has aimed a jibe at Arsenal’s home fans for their "boring boring Chelsea" chants during their goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

A point against Arsenal yesterday ensured that Chelsea will win the Premier League title if they beat Leicester City and Crystal Palace in their next two games.

The Arsenal fans, who were hoping for a win to keep the title race interesting, vented their frustration at the away side and termed their style of football in the 0-0 draw boring.

The Chelsea boss took exception to that and threw a thinly veiled swipe at Arsenal’s inability to win the Premier League title since 2004.

"I think boring is 10 years without a title – that's boring”, Mourinho told the BBC.

“If you support a club and you wait, wait, wait for so many years without a Premier League title, then that's boring.”

Mourinho also pointed out that it was Arsenal who replaced their in-form forward Olivier Giroud with Theo Walcott during the dying minutes of the game.

The Chelsea boss also added that his team, who were termed boring, have scored the second highest number of goals in the league this season and are on their way to winning their first league title in five years.

"Maybe Arsenal's fans were not singing to us.

"When you want to win the game and you take your striker Olivier Giroud off maybe they want more, maybe they want Giroud and Theo Walcott up front.

"This boring team has got the second highest number of goals, has the best goal difference. Only Manchester City have scored more goals than us."
