Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that Arsenal and Manchester United target Edinson Cavani won’t leave the Parc des Princes this summer.

The Uruguayan forward has been heavily linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season as it is believed that he is tired of playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at PSG.

Manchester United and Arsenal have a long-term interest in the forward and have been mooted as being keen to take him to England during the summer transfer window.

However, Juventus are believed to be in pole position for Cavani’s signature and there has been speculation that they have already agreed a fee with PSG.

But the PSG president rubbished the speculation and said that Cavani is not going to leave the club as he still has a bright future ahead of him in the French capital.

“Cavani is still young and is the future of the club”, Al-Khelaifi told Le Parisien.

“He just needs some more confidence but will remain in Paris next season.”

The PSG supremo also added that not even a transfer fee of around €50m would convince him to sell the former Napoli forward in the summer.

“Even If we receive an offer of €50m for his transfer, I would not even look at it.”
