Former French international goalkeeper Jean-Paul Bertrand-Demanes has termed Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a ‘bully’ and believes the club should get rid of the forward as soon as possible.

Ibrahimovic enjoys a privileged status at the Parc des Princes and is one of the most influential voices in the PSG dressing room.

The mercurial Swede forward is rarely dropped and has again been in superb form for PSG this season, with 28 goals in 34 matches in all competitions.

However, Bertrand-Demanes is not a big fan of the 33-year-old striker and believes Ibrahimovic has an exalted but false view about himself.

The 62-year-old feels the forward is bit too arrogant for his own good and often fails to justify his arrogance with performances on the pitch against the big teams.

The former goalkeeper feels Ibrahimovic is holding back PSG and if they really want to move forward as a club then they need to get rid of the striker as soon as possible.

"I don't like Ibrahimovic", Bertrand-Demanes told L'Equipe.

"He is so big-headed. The problem is people make him think he's intelligent, but he's stupid.

"He's not a caricature but not far off; he's just a bully. You can be big-headed when you're [Luis] Suarez or [Lionel] Messi and score goals against Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

"I'm sorry but, if you only score a hat-trick against Nancy… If PSG want to progress they need to get rid of him.

“He is a problem for PSG.”
