Lille starlet Sofiane Boufal is happy at comparisons with Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, but knows he still has a long way to go to match the Belgian.

Hazard shone in Ligue 1 with Lille, earning a big-money move to Chelsea in the summer of 2012. The Belgium star made a total of 194 appearances for the northern side, hitting 50 goals in the process and being voted Ligue 1's Player of the Year on two occasions.

Boufal joined Lille from Angers in the winter window this year and has already turned heads with his accomplished displays, earning comparisons with Hazard himself.

The 21-year-old admits looking to Hazard as an example to follow, but is sure he needs to add much more to his game and has plenty of developing to do.

Boufal told a press conference: "Sure, Hazard is an example, but at my age he was already at Chelsea.

"It's difficult to compare. I still have to develop many other qualities. I still have room for improvement.

"On a physical level, to be more consistent and efficient."

Boufal has so far clocked up ten games in Ligue 1 for Lille, scoring once in the process.

Hazard's former club currently find themselves eighth in Ligue 1 and well adrift of a top three Champions League spot.
