Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has stressed that Liverpool have shown time and again this season that they have the ability to bounce back from a disappointing run of results.

Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the top four lie in tatters after they suffered demoralising 1-0 defeat to Hull City on Tuesday and now Manchester United need just six more points from their remaining four fixtures to seal a Champions League berth for themselves.

A run of four points from their last five fixtures have dented Liverpool’s season and with their top four hopes evaporating quickly, Brendan Rodgers has admitted that his players are now playing for their futures at the club.

With Liverpool faltering, QPR have the opportunity to get a result at Anfield on Saturday, which might prove crucial in their battle to survive in the Premier League.

However, Ramsey feels it is not going to be easy. He stressed that Liverpool have displayed the ability to bounce back from disappointing results earlier in the season and there is no reason to believe that they might not be able to repeat it as they have the quality in their squad to do so.

But the QPR boss also believes that on their day, his side have the ability to beat anyone in the league and is hoping to pile more misery on Rodgers’ men this Saturday.

“We know Liverpool have the quality and the resilience to bounce back”, Ramsey said in a press conference.

“They have been written off two or three times this season and Brendan has done a fantastic job to bring them up to the levels that warrant a team of Liverpool’s stature.

“But we believe we can beat anyone on our day and we are hoping for that this weekend.”
