Torino president Urbano Cairo has stressed that Arsenal and Manchester United linked full-back Matteo Darmian will only be available for a ‘crazy’ sum of money.

The 25-year-old Italian international has caught the imagination of some of the top European clubs with his assured performance on the right-flank for Torino this season.

He also earned an Italy call-up last year and has quickly established himself as one of the key members of the Azzurri set-up under the tutelage of Antonio Conte.

With 12 international caps already to his name, Darmian has been tipped for bigger things in the future and has already attracted attention from clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United.

German champions Bayern Munich also feature on his list of admirers but Torino are expected to knock back any approach made for their full-back in the summer.

Reiterating the club’s position on Darmian’s future at Torino, Cairo was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato: “I will only sell him for a crazy offer.”

Darmian has 145 appearances for the club and with more than two more years left on his deal, Torino can afford to play hardball with his suitors in the summer.
