Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admits that he loves the scenario when his side do not have to depend on other teams’ results to achieve their goals.

Mourinho’s Chelsea side have dominated the Premier League since the first week of the season and a win tomorrow against Crystal Palace would crown them champions of England for the first time since 2010.

While his team have come in for criticism for playing some dour football in the second half of the campaign, Chelsea never loosened their grip at the top of the table, even when they were not playing well.

And Mourinho admits that enjoys the fact that the other teams have been under pressure to play catch up with them for the entire season.

Though Manchester United and Arsenal did string together a run of positive results in the second half of the campaign, Chelsea gave little away to allow them to close the gap on the Blues in the league table.

He admits that he has enjoyed the feeling of not depending on other teams to drop points this season on their way to the league title this season.

“The teams under pressure are the ones who have to win and wait for us to lose, the teams who are like we were a bit last season”, Mourinho told the club’s official website.

“This season, since March when we recovered the lead we had in December, the problem is for the others. They have to win and Man United and Arsenal had fantastic runs but they couldn’t close the gap, and this is the real pressure.

“For us it is just about us, nothing else matters, like this weekend when we don’t care about Hull City v Arsenal, we don’t care about Man United v West Bromwich Albion.

“It is just about us and this is the feeling that I like.”
