Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has denied saying the words attributed to him by a newspaper today.

Vorm was quoted as saying that he was going to have to consider his future at White Hart Lane as he views himself as too good to sit on the bench.




The Dutch goalkeeper is behind France international Hugo Lloris in the pecking order, though recently had a chance to showcase his skills with Lloris out of action.

And Vorm is keen to stress that he is happy at Spurs and relishing today's clash against Manchester City in the Premier League.
 


The shot-stopper took to Twitter to say: "Please ignore quotes from me in the paper today.

"I didn't say any of that, very happy at Spurs, big game today."

The 31-year-old joined Spurs last summer from Swansea City, costing the White Hart Lane outfit around £3.5m and penning a four-year contract.

He has struggled to dislodge Lloris from between the sticks at the club however and faces a stiff task to do so, with the Frenchman rated as one of the Premier League's best goalkeepers.
