Renowned Dutch agent Rob Jansen has told Memphis Depay to, under no circumstances, sign for Paris Saint-Germain and stated his belief that Liverpool would be an excellent choice for the 21-year-old to make.

The Netherlands international winger has been given permission to speak to three clubs by PSV Eindhoven, namely Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

He has yet to reach a decision over where he wants to play his football next season and recently PSV technical director Marcel Brands revealed Liverpool and PSG are a step ahead of Manchester United in the race.

For Jansen, when the choice comes down to PSG and Liverpool, it is the latter whom Depay should sign for.

"He must certainly not go to Paris Saint-Germain", Jansen told TV programme Business Class.

"The club are totally unsuitable for him. He needs to go to a club where he is sure of playing football.

"I think England is the best option", Jansen continued.

"I heard Liverpool's name mentioned, which would be an excellent club for Depay."

PSV are looking to realise around €30m from selling Depay, having already concluded that keeping the highly-rated winger in Eindhoven is mission impossible.

Depay has already helped PSV win the Eredivisie title this season and has just two further games to play, against Heracles and ADO Den Haag.
