Paris Saint-Germain are not as keen on signing Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven as the Dutch club have claimed, according to French sports daily L'Equipe.

PSV, who have given Depay and his representatives permission to hold talks with Liverpool, Manchester United and PSG, have claimed that Liverpool and PSG are a step ahead of Manchester United in the race.

Pressure is being put on interested parties to make the highest offer to PSV, who are looking for a fee of around €30m for the 21-year-old.

But while PSG are interested in Depay, they are more interested in Manchester United winger Angel di Maria and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

And it is that duo who are dominating transfer planning at the Parc des Princes.

PSG are wrestling with a way to snap up both Di Maria and Pogba while remaining on the right side of UEFA's financial fair play rules.

Depay represents a cheaper option and more within reach for the French champions.

But they are not as far ahead towards a potential deal as has been suggested by PSV.
