Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri admits that the club's signings over the summer transfer window will be crucial to their chances of pushing for promotion to the Premier League next term.

Silvestri was one of a clutch of signings made from Italian clubs during last summer's transfer window as club owner Massimo Cellino took advantage of contacts in his homeland.

The goalkeeper has been declared a successful signing by the majority of the Leeds fans and made 43 appearances in the Championship this season.

Cellino is keen to help Leeds win promotion to the Premier League, but for Silvestri, summer signings will be key for a club which finished 15th this season.

"It will depend a lot on the exchanges and the transactions that are made", he told Gianluca Di Marzio, when asked about the club reaching the Premier League.
