The agent of Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son claims that Liverpool are keen on snapping up his client and have had him watched several times this season.

Liverpool were on Son's tail when he plied his trade with Hamburg, but Leverkusen won the race to snap him up in 2013, splashing out around €10m to sign the South Korea international.




Son has impressed at the BayArena and caused Liverpool to reignite their interest as manager Brendan Rodgers looks for a way to up his side's goal tally next season.

And the player's agent has confirmed that as he understands the situation, Rodgers wants Son at Anfield.
 


"I know that Liverpool have on numerous occasions this season watched him and would like to have the player in their team", agent Thies Bliemeister told German daily Bild.

Son's current contract with Leverkusen is due to run until the summer of 2018 and had a release clause set at €22.5m which applied this season – however the deadline for its activation has now expired.

This season the 22-year-old has scored 17 goals for Leverkusen in all competitions, a haul which includes five goals scored for the Bundesliga outfit in the Champions League.
