Ilkay Gundogan wants to leave Borussia Dortmund this coming summer, the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed.

Gundogan, who has been linked with a number of clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United, has already informed Dortmund that he will not extend his contract.

The midfielder's current agreement with the Ruhr giants comes to an end in 2016 – but he is keen to move to pastures new before then.

According to the Ruhr Nachrichten, sporting director Zorc has confirmed that Gundogan wants to move this summer, something which will send his suitors into a scramble.

The midfielder missed the majority of last season with a back injury, while he has only started to ease back into regular action in the current campaign.
