Manchester United goalkeeper and Real Madrid target David de Gea is still undecided about his future in England, it has been claimed.

With his contract expiring at the end of next season, De Gea’s future at Manchester United has been a source of constant speculation for the last few months.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Manchester United have placed a new lucrative deal, rumoured to be worth around €270,000 per week, on his table and the decision rests with the player.

Real Madrid have been laying the groundwork for a summer approach for the Spaniard and there is speculation that he has given his nod to a move back to the Spanish capital.

However, according to Marca, the former Atletico Madrid man is still undecided about his future. While he remains the undisputed number one at Old Trafford, there are rumours that De Gea is keen to move back to his homeland.

With De Gea’s future remaining unresolved, there is speculation that Real Madrid are already looking at alternative targets and Manchester United are quietly confident of securing him on a new deal.

However, if De Gea eventually decides to leave the club this summer, Manchester United have slapped a €40m asking price on him.

He was voted the club’s double Player of the Year last season and is Manchester United’s only entrant in PFA’s Team of the Season this term.
