Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has remained non-committal about his club’s interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The Catalan giants have emerged as the favourites to land the French midfielder this summer and it has been claimed that Pogba’s agent recently met Barcelona officials to discuss a transfer to Spain for his client.

While the deal remains complicated because of the club’s transfer embargo, Barcelona are believed to be committed to the cause of signing the Juventus midfielder in the near future.

Though Barcelona president Bartomeu refused to divulge anything on the speculated negotiations, he did indicate the club’s interest in Pogba.

“Half of Europe likes him”, Bartomeu told TV3.

However, Barcelona are currently standing in a long queue of clubs who are keen to sign the French superstar from Juventus.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are ready to burn a hole in their pockets in order to land Pogba in the summer and Paris Saint-Germain are working hard to cobble together the funds to launch a bid for the Frenchman too.
