Jose Mourinho believes it is impossible for him to reach Sir Alex Ferguson's record of winning 13 Premier League titles.

Ferguson scooped up 13 English top flight titles during his time at Manchester United and retired in the summer of 2013 after he collected his 13th crown at Old Trafford.

Mourinho has just led Chelsea to this season's Premier League title, which is his third English top flight crown, and the first since he returned to Chelsea in 2013.

He has also won two Portuguese Primeria Liga titles with FC Porto, two Serie A titles with Inter and one La Liga with Real Madrid.

"I have a long way to go, but Sir Alex left the bar in an impossible position for anyone. I cannot win 13 Premier Leagues", Mourinho explained to BT Sport.

"I can win 13 championships, I can. No [not Premier Leagues]. I have eight [championships], I think I can go to 13. But 13 Premier Leagues? No chance."

At present Chelsea are 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League with just three games to play, having dominated the 2014/15 league season.

The Blues have three games left to play this season and clinched the title yesterday with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
