Sol Bamba has urged the Leeds United hierarchy to listen to the club's fans when it comes to planning the side's future direction.

Leeds have just finished in 15th spot in the Championship standings, but have seen their season dogged by off the pitch wrangles.

The club's owner Massimo Cellino has until recently been serving a Football League ban and head coach Neil Redfearn is not sure of being kept on into next term.

Leeds fans are wary of the club choosing to sell off a number of in-demand talents over the summer, with Alex Mowatt, Lewis Cook and Sam Byram all having been linked with Premier League clubs.

Bamba shares their concerns and wants the club's board to take note of the supporters' views when it comes to planning their next move.

He told LUTV: "Definitely [I share the fans’ concerns] because I think if you look at the last few years with Leeds that they do well and after that they lose some of their players or the manager is changed. I think we need some stability at the club.

"The club have everything, I just think stability is important. The people in charge have to take good decisions for the club, not for anyone personally, just for the club.

"And listen to the fans as well because they are the heart of the club and when they give their opinion I think sometimes you have to listen and I hope that will happen", Bamba added.

The defender, who is on loan from Palermo, feels that Leeds have a good mix of players and could mount a promotion push next season if the right recipe is followed.

"I think if we keep the team together we can fight to get out of this league. We saw when we played against the best teams in this league we can compete.

"We have to keep everyone together. The manager has to stay and we need a few players because I think in some departments we're missing some players. So I don't think we're too far away."
