Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson admits that missing a leader like Steven Gerrard will be a huge loss for his team, but also feels that they have enough good players to push on and fill the void next season.

The 34-year-old, who is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season, after having spent over 28 years at the club, is going to be hugely missed, Henderson insists.

Speaking about Gerrard's influence, the England international added that the veteran is a great leader for the team, inserting his influence on all the games for the Reds.

However, with the midfielder departing Anfield at the end of the season, his team-mate feels that the team will need to move on and there are enough players to step into his shoes post his departure.

"He will be a big loss to the team", the Liverpool vice-captain told his club's official website.

"Stevie is our leader and a big influence on games for us, so you will miss big players like that.

"But at the same time we have to move on when he does go and I think we have got the players who can improve and push on, to have a really good go next season."

Gerrard will play his last home match for the Reds on 16th May against Crystal Palace.
