Adryan has reflected upon losing his first team place at Leeds United, noting issues off the pitch with president Massimo Cellino and his sudden withdrawal from the side.

The promising Brazilian midfielder was fielded on a regular basis for a spell earlier this season, before being dropped initially to the bench and then out of the first team picture completely by head coach Neil Redfearn.

For most of the second half of the season Adryan had to make do with Under-21 football to keep his match sharpness.

The Brazilian midfielder is on loan at Leeds from Flamengo and the Whites have until 5th July to decide whether to keep him on a permanent basis.

Adryan is still in the dark as to why he was pulled out of the side and claims it was very sudden and made little sense.

"I started the season very well", Adryan reflected to Globoesporte.

"I played 12 games in a row as a starter.

"There were problems with the president, some disputes.

"I stopped going to the games this last semester. It was not a natural sequence.

"Simply I was playing and then I was suddenly out."

In total Adryan made 13 appearances for Leeds this season, providing two assists for his team-mates and showing flashes of the talent which got Whites fans so excited upon his summer arrival.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds will opt to keep him on a permanent basis. He has not ruled out returning to parent club Flamengo.
