Chelsea and Manchester United target Nathaniel Clyne has stressed that he is happy at Southampton and will leave a decision about his future to his agent, while concentrating on playing his football.

The 24-year-old, whose contract with the Saints comes to an end in the summer of 2016, is yet to sign a new contract, with manager Ronald Koeman urging him to be clear about whether he is willing to sign a new contract before the end of the season.

And that has sparked speculation about the highly-rated right-back's future at St. Mary's with both Chelsea and Manchester United showing keen interest in securing the services of the player.

And now the man concerned has come out to make it clear that he is happy with the opportunity of playing week-in, week-out at Southampton who, he believes are an "up-and-coming club".

"I am enjoying my football for Southampton, playing week-in, week-out", Clyne was quoted as saying by ITV.

The England international also took time to reveal that his agent is taking care of his contract situation at present and he will leave the matter entirely to him while he concentrates on playing his football.

"My agent is negotiating, so I will just leave it with my agent and I am just going to concentrate on playing my football."
