Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti has remained coy on his potential role in attracting Manchester United and Liverpool linked Paulo Dybala to the San Siro this summer.

European heavyweights such as Juventus and the English trio of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping a close watch on the Argentine striker, who is expected to leave Palermo when the transfer window swings back open.

However, Inter are the ones who are currently doing all the heavy lifting in the transfer saga and are working hard behind the scenes to sign the Argentine from Palermo at the end of the season.

While they are not ready to meet Dybala’s asking price of €40m, the Nerazzurri are prepared to table a bid of around €25m and offer players to Palermo to get the deal over the line.

It has also been speculated that Zanetti is also playing a major role in trying to convince his compatriot to join Inter but the club vice-president remained coy over his involvement in the negotiations.

“Can I influence Dybala to join Inter? I have great regard for him and have been following him since his time in Argentina”, Zanetti was quoted as saying by Sky Italia.

“But I want to work in silence and that is all what I have to say at the moment.”
