Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas feels that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s winning mentality sets him apart from other managers in the game.

The former Arsenal man joined the Blues last summer from Barcelona and has played a key role in them winning the league title this season.

Playing as one of the creative outlets of Mourinho’s Chelsea team, Fabregas has again excelled in English football and is set to wear his first Premier League winners’ medal at the end of the season.

However, the Spaniard has shared the lion’s share of their league title success with the Portuguese manager. Fabregas said that Mourinho has the natural ability to motivate his players and stressed that it is not always easy to keep them on their toes over the course of a long season.

“Every single day he makes you be at the top of your game”, the Spaniard told the club’s official website.

“He knows how to get the best out of you and that’s what you want as a manager. A manager that can motivate a player every three days in a season when you play 60 games a season is not easy, trust me.”

Fabregas said that the number of trophies the Chelsea boss has won over the course of his career is testament to the fact that he loves winning and stressed that it is this mentality that gives him an edge over other managers in the game.

“He loves winning. He has some edge that goes above anyone I have been with, a mentality he shows in every single training session and in every game.

“I now can understand why he has won what he has won in his career.”
