Leeds United skipper Liam Cooper insists that he is a player with a positive outlook and feels the sky is the limit next year.

With the 2014/15 Championship season having ended for the Whites, the 23-year-old took time to reflect on their domestic performance, stressing the need to look at the positive side of things, while ignoring the negatives.

While a 15th place finish was not one they aimed for, Cooper insists, it could be a preamble for good things to come next season under manager Neil Redfearn, according to the defender.

Cooper also highlighted the need to get a good pre-season under their bet and make the sky the limit next year.

"I’ve got a positive outlook on everything; I don’t like to think negatively", Cooper told his club's official website.

"We’ll come back, have a good pre-season and the sky is the limit next year.

"If we get off to a good start, which we’re more than capable of, we can have a good season."

The former Hull City player also took time to refer to their impressive performances against the eventual champions Bournemouth and promotion-contenders Middlesbrough to highlight the fact that they are not far off from where they aim to be next season.

"We’ve beaten two of the best teams in the league and done the double over them this year.

"We’re not far off at all; it’s just the consistency we need to get in our performances. If we can’t win games, then we can’t lose them.

"That’s what we need to get drilled into our heads and I’m sure that will be going on in pre-season and next season as well."
