Wolfsburg have joined the chase for Manchester United and Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan.

The German midfielder is set to leave Dortmund this summer after refusing to sign an extension to his contract which is set to expire at the end of next season.

Gundogan is not short of offers from clubs across Europe and he has already been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United as Louis van Gaal is believed to be a fan of the midfield playmaker.

The 24-year-old is also an object of desire for Arsene Wenger, who has often been said to want to take him to north London this summer and Bayern Munich are also believed to be keen to acquire the Dortmund midfielder’s services.

However, another German club have entered the race for the midfielder as according to the Wolfsburger Allgemeine, the Wolves are keen to sign Gundogan at the end of the season.
