Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is pleased with the Blues faithful chanting his name and singing songs in his honour.

In his first season at Stamford Bridge since his arrival from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, Fabregas has played a decisive role in helping Chelsea secure their first domestic title in five years.




Fabregas has a league-leading 18 assists to his name and combined with his three league goals, the Catalan has been one of the standout performers for Jose Mourinho’s side.

The 28-year-old’s outstanding performances in Chelsea midfield in his inaugural season with the Pensioners have endeared him to the Stamford Bridge faithful and they have chanted his name and sang songs in his honour.
 


Chelsea fans were first heard singing Fabregas’ name away at Arsenal and Leicester City and they continued their chanting in the Blues’ defeat of Crystal Palace last Sunday – a win that sealed the title in favour of Mourinho’s men.

And the 2010 World Cup winner has expressed his delight at being loved by the Chelsea supporters.

“I first heard it at Leicester”, he told his cub’s site.

“It’s always nice to feel important to the fans and to experience these kinds of things is fantastic for me.

“It’s a great feeling.”
