Forbes have released their annual list of the world's most valuable clubs, with Real Madrid topping the pile and Manchester United coming in third.

Real Madrid are placed first in the list at $3.26bn, but saw their value drop by five per cent from 2014. However, Los Blancos still bring in the most revenue of any football club on the planet, earning $746m.

The club's Spanish rivals Barcelona are second on the list, the Catalans being ranked as worth a cool $3.16bn.

Manchester United, despite not taking part in the Champions League this season, still find themselves sitting third and just below Barcelona with a value of $3.1bn.

Other English Premier League clubs in the top 20 are Manchester City (fifth), Chelsea (sixth), Arsenal (seventh), Liverpool (eighth), Tottenham Hotspur (13th), Newcastle United (18th) and West Ham (19th).
