Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has lauded his side’s performance in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid last night.

A first half goal from former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata and a Carlos Tevez penalty after the break helped Juventus to register a 2-1 win over Los Blancos in Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s 27th minute strike did help Real Madrid to record an away goal, which could prove crucial in the second leg next week in the Spanish capital but at the moment Juventus have a narrow edge in the tie.

Allegri was pleased with the performance of his side and said that every department of his team worked in sync to give them the advantage in the semi-final tie.

“I'd say I'm pleased with the performance”, Allegri told UEFA.
