Benfica have joined Tottenham Hotspur and FC Porto in the chase for Red Star Belgrade striker Luka Jovic.

Schooled at Red Star’s youth academy, the 17-year-old broke into the first team this season and has already scored six goals in the Serbian top flight.

Despite his tender years, the Serbian Under-19 international has become an important part of the Red Star senior squad and has been a regular in the first eleven in the second half of their campaign.

The 17-year-old’s exploits in Serbia have not gone unnoticed and there are a number of clubs across Europe, including Tottenham and Porto, who are keeping a close watch on his progress at the Red Star Stadium.

However, another Portuguese giant have entered the Jovic admiration club as according to O Jogo, Benfica are now interested in taking the Serbian starlet to the Estadio da Luz this summer.
