English champions Chelsea have started talks with Atletico Madrid as they seek to sign defender Diego Godin and midfielder Koke, as part of a deal which will take Filipe Luis the other way.

Jose Mourinho has already switched his attention towards the club's summer transfer strategy and wants the Atletico Madrid pair at Stamford Bridge to help the Blues defend the Premier League title next season.

According to Sky Italia, Chelsea have now started talks with Atletico Madrid in a bid to sign both Godin and Koke from the Vicente Calderon outfit, as part of a deal which allows Luis to go the other way.

Luis is keen on returning to Atletico Madrid following a disappointing season in England.

The Brazilian joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid last summer, but has not enjoyed the smoothest of relationships with Mourinho and is ready to return to his former club.
