Monaco are eyeing a loan deal for Chelsea’s Belgian starlet Charly Musonda this summer.

Starting his career at Anderlecht’s academy, the teenager joined Chelsea’s youth set-up in 2012 and has been a regular feature in the Under 21 Premier League this season.

The young attacking midfielder also played a major role in Chelsea winning the UEFA Youth League this season with his three goals and two assists in seven appearances in the competition.

His performances in Europe have caught the imagination of a few clubs and one of them are Monaco, who are enamoured by Musonda’s creative ability.

Though he is still to play a senior game for Chelsea, according to DH, Monaco are keen to sign him on a loan deal this summer.

The Ligue 1 outfit are confident that they can play an important role in the Belgian’s progress but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be willing to send him to a club where he is not expected to be a regular in the first team.

Chelsea have an agreement with Vitesse and they regularly send their young players to the Dutch club for further development.

At 18, Musonda has already earned five caps for Belgium’s Under-21 national team.
