Striker Iago Aspas admits that it is difficult to see him being able to return to former club Celta Vigo this summer.

The 27-year-old is currently nearing the end of a season-long loan at Spanish outfit Sevilla from English giants Liverpool and it appears unlikely he will be kept on by Los Rojiblancos.

Aspas has struggled to cement a spot in the Sevilla first team this season and has managed just 14 appearances in La Liga, with two goals to his name.

A product of Celta Vigo's youth system, it has been suggested that Aspas could return to his former club. But the Liverpool contracted striker feels that will be tough.

"Right now it is difficult to see a return to Celta next season", he told Faro de Vigo.

Aspas may face an emotional situation this coming weekend, when Sevilla travel to take on Celta Vigo in a La Liga clash.

The Spaniard's contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2018 and it remains to be seen whether Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is including him in his pre-season plans.
