Sporting Lisbon appear to have paused for thought when it comes to signing Celtic striker John Guidetti after being told of his wage demands.

Guidetti is out of contract with Manchester City, from whom he is on loan at Celtic, in the summer, and has become an attractive target for a number of sides.

Feyenoord have offered Guidetti a deal worth €1m per year, though the striker is looking for more money, while Inter, Celtic and Marseille have been linked with the Swede.

Recently it appeared Sporting Lisbon were leading the race with a lucrative offer, but according to Dutch outlet Soccer News, the striker's salary demands have scared off the Portuguese giants.

And now Sporting Lisbon, just as Feyenoord are, are looking at alternative options.
