Championship side Charlton Athletic are keen to sign striker Ilombe Mboyo from Belgian outfit Genk, according to Belgian magazine SportVoetbalmagazine.

The Championship outfit, who finished 12th in the league this season, are on the lookout to add depth to their squad in order to fight for promotion to the Premier League next season.




Addicks owner Roland Duchatelet is reported to have already contacted the Belgian outfit to discuss the transfer of the 28-year-old.

Charlton Atheltic are about to release 15 of their players whose contracts with the club come to an end in the summer.
 


Defenders Tal Ben Haim, Roger Johnson, Oguchi Onyewu and Lawrie Wilson are among the players to be released while goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is also to about to leave.
