Chelsea have confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Brazilian outfit Atletico Paranaense to sign starlet Nathan.

The 19-year-old, who has been tipped for big things, will link up with the Blues officially on 1st July, after he passed a medical at Stamford Bridge and agreed personal terms with this season's Premier League champions.

The attacking midfielder has been quick to express his delight at linking up with Jose Mourinho's side and is now eyeing continuing his development under the watchful eye of the Portuguese manager.

Nathan told his new club's site: "I am very happy to be joining Chelsea, the champions of England, and I hope I will be able to learn a lot and develop my game."

The Brazilian has represented his country at both Under-17 and Under-20 level and caught the eye at the Under-17 World Cup in 2013, before then building on his performances.

Indeed, Nathan scored five goals in the Under-17 World Cup and was also named in the team of the tournament.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will look to send the 19-year-old out on loan when he arrives in England, with the Blues having a well-trodden partnership agreement with Dutch outfit Vitesse, or keep him at Stamford Bridge.
