Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has led Zenit St. Petersburg to the Russian Premier League title.

The Portuguese tactician's side drew 1-1 with FC Ufa earlier today to claim what is their third Russian title in the last five seasons.

Villas-Boas first took charge of Zenit in March last year, but could not push the St Petersburg side past CSKA Moscow, his men falling a point short.

This season though Zenit have made no mistake and have clinched the title with two matches spare.

Zenit sit top of the table on 64 points from 28 games, eight clear of second placed FK Krasnodar and third placed CSKA Moscow.
