Paris Saint-Germain have made Manchester United winger Angel di Maria their priority signing for when the summer transfer window swings open.

The French champions were beaten to Di Maria's signature last summer, losing out to Manchester United as they found themselves hamstrung by UEFA's financial fair play regulations.

However, PSG are ready to offload Ezequiel Lavezzi to raise funds this summer, while UEFA president Michel Platini has hinted at a softening of FFP rules. He told French broadcaster RTL earlier today that "things will be eased".

Now PSG have made Di Maria their number one target, according to French daily Le Parisien.

PSG coach Laurent Blanc has set his heart on the Argentine arriving at the Parc des Princes, while president Nasser Al-Khelaifi also wants Di Maria.

The winger has struggled to hit the heights expected at Manchester United since joining from Real Madrid last summer for a British record transfer fee of £59.7m.

It remains to be seen however whether Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal would be willing to sell Di Maria.
