Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, along with Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, is a candidate to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is under pressure at Real Madrid after Los Blancos missed out on La Liga and exited the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

It is not clear whether the ex-Chelsea boss will be kept on and according to Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, Real Madrid are already looking at possible successors.

Benitez, a former Liverpool manager who is now in charge of Serie A outfit Napoli, is on the list as he is highly rated by president Florentino Perez.

Also included on the list is Klopp, who has already announced he will leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
