Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has warned possible suitors Manchester United and Manchester City against a move for Kevin De Bruyne, describing the player as "unsellable".

The former Chelsea man has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with both Manchester-based club showing interest in securing his services, along with Paris Saint-Germain.

The German outfit are though unwilling to sell one of their prized asset and have shown their intent by insisting that the player concerned in not for sale.

"At the moment, I'd call him unsellable", Allofs told Doppelpass.

"I am 100 per cent convinced he will play for us next year."

The sporting director though insisted that in football things can change rapidly and predictions might not necessarily be true every time.

"However, in football things can develop so rapidly, that you can't say this now."

De Bruyne himself had last week given indications about a possible move away from the German outfit by refusing to guarantee that he would stay Volkswagen Arena next season.

"I’m very happy here and I think I will play here next season but I can’t give you a 100 per cent guarantee", the Belgian international told Eurosport.

De Bruyne has enjoyed a successful season with Dieter Hecking's team this season scoring 15 goals in 49 matches and has also provided his team-mates with 28 assists.
