Chelsea legend Michael Ballack has tipped outgoing Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp to take his next managerial assignment in England.

Klopp has announced his departure from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the current season, but he hasn’t revealed his next destination, leading to speculation regarding his next managerial stop. He has been linked with several sides in England, including Liverpool and Manchester City.

The 44-year-old has enjoyed a successful seven-year reign at Signal Iduna Park, guiding the Yellow and Blacks to two successive league titles and a final of the Champions League during his time at the club.

Ballack, who played for Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2006, has tipped his compatriot to take up a Premier League post in the future, saying that Klopp has several attributes that will attract him to English football.

"There are several indications that suggest he will coach in England at some stage”, the former Germany international told German broadcaster Sport1.

"There's speculation about it in England and it would make sense also for him to go to England.

"He coached one of the best clubs in Germany, he's an open coach who enjoys international acclaim for his successes and the way he coaches.

“And he speaks English."

Borussia Dortmund are currently sitting seventh in the Bundesliga standings and they will play their last league match against Werder Bremen this weekend.

Klopp then leads his side into the German Cup final against Wolfsburg on 30th May, where he will bid to go out on a high.
