Aston Villa have made Scott Sinclair’s loan move from Manchester City permanent and have tied him to a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder joined Tim Sherwood’s side in January this year from Manchester City and has enjoyed a resurgence under the former Tottenham Hotspur boss’ guidance.

Sinclair was on the scoresheet in the round of 16 as well as the quarter-final of the FA Cup as Aston Villa made their way to the final of the prestigious domestic cup. They will compete with the holders Arsenal in the final scheduled to be played at Wembley on 30th May.

The 26-year-old had joined Manchester City from Swansea in the summer of 2012, but he struggled to get into the playing eleven for the Citizens and made only three starts for them.

Sinclair has expressed his delight at making his stay at Aston Villa permanent and insists that he will look to perform even better in the coming years.
