Italian giants Inter Milan are confident about finalising a deal for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure in the summer, club vice-president Javier Zanetti has confirmed.

It has been suggested in Italy that the Nerazzurri have already reached an agreement with the Ivory Coast international, with Toure willing to accept a pay cut to reunite with his former manager Roberto Mancini.

At present the 32-year-old earns a wage in the region of €8m net per season, with the Italian outfit willing to offer something around €5m. The amount might increase depending on individual and team performances though.

A fee is to be agreed between the two clubs though with Zanetti insisting that his club are nearing completion in order to take Toure to Italy.

Zanetti also took time to add that having someone of Toure's quality will certainly give Roberto Mancini's team a "leap in quality."
