Kevin Strootman says his injury worries are behind him and he will be back in action next season.

The Roma midfielder has suffered a difficult year, first injuring his cruciate knee ligament last year, which ended his season and then kept him out of the World Cup in Brazil, while then hurting his cartilage in January, something which required a new operation and ended his season again.

Strootman has consistently been linked with Manchester United, but Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has had little opportunity to buy him due to his injuries.

But Strootman says that come next season he will be in good shape.

"I'm fine", he told Rete Sport.

Roma have consistently stated that they wish to keep hold of Strootman and will not sell him to Manchester United.

However, his injury issues could cause a rethink, with the Dutchman playing just six Serie A games this season.
