Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that Danny Welbeck will not feature in the club's final Premier League game of the season this weekend.

The Gunners are due to take on West Brom, but Welbeck will play no part and now faces a race against time to be fit for Arsenal's FA Cup final meeting with Aston Villa at the end of the month.

Wenger, addressing a press conference this morning, provided an update on key injured members of his squad.

He said: "Welbeck is out for Sunday.

"Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mathieu Debuchy are back in full training, but will be short", Wenger added.

And the Arsenal manager went on to suggest that if Welbeck cannot prove his fitness for the FA Cup final, then he is likely to be out of Roy Hodgson's England squad for the Three Lions' games next month.

"If he is not available for the FA Cup final then I can't see him being available for England", Wenger added.

Welbeck joined Arsenal last summer from Manchester United for £16m and will be desperate to put himself in the mix to play against Aston Villa at Wembley.
