Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has revealed that he will consider offers for Liverpool target Mattia Perin this summer.

The 22-year-old is considered one of the top young goalkeepers in Italy and is regarded as Gianluigi Buffon’s long-term successor in the Italian national team.




Perin has enjoyed an impressive season between the sticks at Genoa, which has caught the imagination of teams who on the lookout for a bright young goalkeeper.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is known to be a fan of the young Italian and is believed to have been plotting a move for him in the summer.
 


However, until recently it was believed Genoa would knock back any offers for Perin, but the club president revealed that might not be the case anymore.

While he stressed the he is yet to receive a bid for Perin, he did say that he will consider offers if they land on his table this summer.

“There talks are premature; I have not yet received any offer”, Preziosi told FC Inter News.

“The only thing I can say that I would certainly consider any offer if one is made.”

There was also speculation that Perin was set to sign a new contract with the club but the Genoa president said: “At the moment, there is nothing new [to add].”
