West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has revealed that the club will not stand in the way of Liverpool linked striker Saido Berahino if an offer from a top four side comes through.

The 21-year-old striker, who has been in good form for the Baggies this season, has been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns for most of the season with Premier League giants Liverpool reportedly showing keen interest in securing the services of the player.

The striker had in fact earlier in the season issued a come and get me plea, insisting that he wanted to leave the club at the end of the season in order to move to bigger things.

However, West Brom had maintained their not for sale stance, stressing the fact that the youngster was an integral part of the club's future plans.

Pulis' statement though suggests a potential sale and if and when it comes, the 57-year-old insists that his club will want to make the most out of the transfer.

"If he plays well at this club then a top four club might come in and West Brom will not stop him as long as the deal is right", Pulis was quoted as saying by ITV.

"We hope and pray he stays with us because he has a lot more to come and we don't think he is at the end of his development.

"If a top four club comes in and the clubs agree a fee and it's all done, everyone can shake hands and say what a great job he has done for the club.

"Not only has he been here since he was a young lad and we have looked after him, but the club have made money on him and we have to reinvest in other people – that's a fact of life."
