Didier Drogba has announced he is leaving Chelsea for a second time this summer, but will not be hanging up his boots.

The veteran striker rejoined his former club last summer and played his part as the Blues won the League Cup and the Premier League.




However, even at the age of 37, Drogba still feels he has one season of regular first team football ahead of him and is leaving Chelsea to make sure he features week in, week out next season.

"I want to play for at least one more season and in order to play more football I feel I need to go to another club", Drogba explained to his club's site.
 

 

However, Drogba is already eyeing returning to Chelsea for a third time, when he will take an off the pitch role.

"All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role", he explained.

Chelsea take on Sunderland today at Stamford Bridge in what is their final game of the season.

It is one Drogba will now look to use to sign off on his second spell at the club in style, with the Blues due to collect the Premier League trophy after the match.

The Premier League title will be Drogba's fourth with Chelsea.
