Liverpool have confirmed their team to play Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon in what is Steven Gerrard's final game for the club.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has selected Gerrard as predicted and the captain will be supported by Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen in the middle of the park. Adam Lallana also plays, as does Philippe Coutinho in what is a formation without a recognised striker.
Raheem Sterling is dropped to the bench amid his contract wrangle, while at the back Rodgers goes with Emre Can, Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho. On the bench, the Liverpool boss can turn to Rickie Lambert, Jordon Ibe and Lazar Markovic as extra attacking options.
Liverpool head into their last match of the season sitting in fifth place in the Premier League, a single point above sixth placed Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds' chances of making the top four are over, but finishing as high as possible remains Rodgers' aim.
