Arsene Wenger has hailed an "on fire" Theo Walcott after the forward scored a hat-trick in the Gunners' 4-1 demolition job on West Brom at the Emirates Stadium today.

Arsenal took the lead in just the fourth minute of the Premier League clash through Walcott, while the England international then helped himself to a second in the 14th minute to leave West Brom reeling.

No sooner was it 2-0 than a third followed, with Jack Wilshere getting in on the act in the 17th minute.

Walcott then completed his hat-trick in the 37th minute, making it 4-0 to Arsenal and allowing the forward to stake his claim for an FA Cup final spot.

West Brom did pull one back through Gareth McAuley in the 57th minute, but it was never more than a consolation.
